Who we help · Retail

Keep trading, even at peak

In retail, downtime has a queue attached to it. Tills, card machines, stock and connectivity all have to hold together on your busiest day — and be secure enough that customer data never becomes the story.

Sound familiar?

The retail version of an IT problem

If any of these land, that's where we come in — start with the symptom, not the service name.

“The tills are down and the queue is growing.”

Managed IT Support

“Card payments keep dropping at the worst time.”

Connectivity & Communications

“Stock says one thing, the shelf says another.”

Microsoft 365 & Cloud

“We hold customer and card data but nobody's secured it.”

Cyber Security

“Head office and the shops are all on different systems.”

IT Strategy

“Black Friday is coming and nothing's been stress-tested.”

How we help

Built for the shop floor

The same six services every client gets, shaped around a business where a minute of downtime is a queue at the counter.

Tills and back office, kept trading

EPOS, receipt printers, scanners and the office PCs monitored and supported — so a frozen till at the counter gets a fast human, not a support queue.

Connectivity that survives peak

A line sized for card payments, stock sync and card machines all at once, with 4G/5G backup so one outage doesn't stop you taking money.

Customer and card data protected

The security groundwork under PCI DSS — segmented networks, MFA, patching, endpoint protection — so a card breach doesn't become your headline.

Stock, orders and reporting joined up

Microsoft 365 set up so head office and the shop floor work from the same numbers, with the tidy data that later makes AI and automation worth doing.

Ready before peak trading

Backups restore-tested and a bad-day plan agreed before Black Friday — not discovered during it — so a bad hour doesn't become a lost weekend.

One setup across every store

Multi-site networks and devices standardised, so opening or refitting a shop plugs into a known-good template instead of starting over.

FAQ

Tills, card data and peak trading, answered

The things retailers check before they trust anyone with the shop floor.

A till or card machine goes down mid-trade. How fast is help?

Anything that stops you taking money is treated as urgent, and the phone is answered around the clock. We agree up front what counts as a priority-one incident and how it's raised, so there's no argument about severity when the queue is building.

Do you make us PCI DSS compliant?

We don't certify you — that's for your card provider and, above a certain size, an assessor. What we do is put the technical controls the PCI questionnaire asks about in place (network segmentation, MFA, patching, secure remote access) so the self-assessment is honest and straightforward rather than a fudge.

Can you get head office and the stores onto one system?

Yes, and it's usually where the biggest wins are. We standardise the network, devices and Microsoft 365 setup across sites so reporting is consistent and a new store is a repeatable rollout, not a bespoke project each time.

We want to use AI for stock or customer insight. Are we ready?

Maybe — and the honest way to find out is our AI Readiness Assessment. Retail data is often messy and permissions sprawling, which is exactly what makes AI risky before the groundwork is done. We check that first, then point you at the use cases that would actually pay back.
